A heritage is a meaningful tradition that has been passed down from many predecessors. It is something that has stood the test of time, and its impact still resonates. D.L. Moody’s lifework represents a heritage of the Christian faith.
Now over a hundred years after his death, his impact continues throughout faith communities. While it may not be a direct connection between one of Moody’s revivals, there are generations of ministers, theologians, and souls saved because of the transformation he brought.
So why The Moody Center?
In a world overwhelmed with new, faster, and better, it is easy to lose the heritage of faith in all the noise. The Moody Center exists to reclaim the heritage of D.L. Moody’s work, specifically at the Northfield campus, by developing and sending out passionate workers for Christ.
Modeling after Moody’s original work of providing a hub for training, development, and rejuvenation, The Moody Center will serve as a gathering place for Christians. Whether conferences, prayer retreats, scholarly studies, or training sessions, the Center will be a dynamic place of growth. To raise up people encouraged and passionate for Christ’s work reflects Moody’s ideals.
As Christians unite and take hold of the legacy left to them, The Moody Center hopes to inspire a global impact for Christ.
